Greetings Cadets!
We have another busy week filled with STAAR testing, Easter egg hunts, softball senior night, baseball, and track! Please check the newsletter from each campus to ensure you don’t miss any important events at your child’s campus.
The biggest district event of the week is the Connally ISD Job Fair at Connally High School tonight, April 14th, from 5:30 until approximately 7:00 p.m. All campuses will be on hand to meet and greet potential employees and conduct on-site interviews if needed. We are not only seeking teachers but also need classroom aides, food service staff, and custodians. If you know of someone looking for a position in education or school support, please let them know to see us this evening at the high school.
The Cadet Athletic Booster Club meeting previously scheduled for Wednesday, April 16th, has been changed to Tuesday, April 29th at 6:00 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the CHS field house. Everyone is invited to attend! You don’t have to have a high school athlete to become a member of the organization! We highly encourage our junior high and elementary parents and ALL community members to join the booster organization. The booster club is established to fundraise and support our student-athletes at all levels. This month they will be discussing the senior scholarships, membership drive, and officers for the 2025-2026 school year. Come find out the benefits of being a member!
There will be no school on Friday, April 18th in observance of Good Friday. We will return to school on Monday, April 21st. On Friday, April 25th, ALL students will attend school.
The next school board meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 21st, at 6:30 p.m. Two school board seats will be elected on Saturday, May 3rd. Early voting opens on Tuesday, April 22nd. The district is currently working with candidates to schedule a meet-the-candidates event. We will share the details once we confirm who will be able to participate.
