Greetings Cadets!
We were very fortunate that Friday's prediction of inclement weather spared Mac Peoples Stadium, allowing the class of 2025 to graduate without delay. After the graduation ceremony, we sent our graduates off with a bang and a fireworks show to cap off the night!
We now have only four and a half days of school remaining with our PK-11th grade students. All students will attend a half-day on Friday, May 23rd. The last week of school is busy with award ceremonies, banquets, kindergarten graduations, and other fun end-of-year activities. Please make sure to check the newsletter for the campus your children attend. That ensures you have the important dates and times for events and activities.
The registration dates have been set for the 2025-2026 school year. Registration will be at the Connally ISD administration building on the following dates and times.:
Tuesday, July 29th from 8:00 to 6:00
Wednesday, July 30th from 8:00 to 6:00
Thursday, July 31st from 8:00 to 1:00 and 2:30 to 7:00
Beginning next year, Connally ISD will offer a low-cost after-school program for PK through 5th-grade students. We are partnering with Mentoring Alliance to provide the program until 5:30 p.m. While attending the after-school program, students will get assistance with homework and participate in other fun and enriching activities. The program will be offered on the days school is in session for all students. Mentoring Alliance will also be available to provide enrichment opportunities for students who are not required to attend intervention on our scheduled intervention Friday sessions. Mentoring Alliance will only be available until noon on the scheduled intervention days. The cost of the program will be $15 per week. Mentoring Alliance will also accept payment from CCS (Child Care Services). The goal is to develop and extend this program into the summer of 2026 to offer a full-day summer camp for our students! If you would like additional information on Mentoring Alliance, you can visit their website at: https://thementoringalliance.com/ .
Although the students are out for the summer, our teachers, administrators, and staff have a summer filled with professional development and training for the new reading language arts curriculum we will use in grades K through 8 beginning next year! Over the summer, the campuses and the administration building will be closed every Friday and Thursday, July 3rd. The campus and administration office will be open from 7:30 to 4:30 Monday through Thursday,
The next regular scheduled board meeting will be Monday, June 16th at 6:30 p.m.
We wish everyone a safe summer break!
Sincerely,
Jill Bottelberghe
Superintendent
