Superintendent's Update

Hello Cadets!

I hope our Cadet moms had a Happy Mother’s Day over the weekend. I know a few moms shed a tear or two at the baccalaureate yesterday. It is hard to believe, but this is the final week of school for the class of 2025! These young ladies and men will pass to the next chapter of their lives in a few days. We are excited to see what the future may bring for them! Graduation will be held at Mac Peoples Stadium on Friday, May 16th. The ceremony will begin at 8:00 p.m. Immediately after the ceremony, a fireworks display will send the graduates off with a bang!

Our seniors will get their first opportunity to try on their cap and gown and practice their walk and wave on Thursday morning. They will be doing their senior walk on each campus as they take a final walk through the buildings and say goodbye to many of the teachers who educated them while in Connally ISD. They also inspire our younger students. Seeing our kindergarteners cheer and clap for our graduates is exciting and sweet!

Our kindergarten students are also busy preparing for graduation. They are practicing and polishing their final performance, which is scheduled for next week. However, this week, they are finishing their MAP assessments, which measure their growth from the beginning to the end of the school year. They will also fit in some time for the final CECC jamboree of the school year.

We are also beginning our end-of-year events. This week, our CPS students will participate in field day events. They started with the first-grade field day today. Second and third graders will participate in field events on Wednesday. The primary campus will close the week with a CPS talent show on Thursday.

Please check the campus newsletters for details and times of all special events on our campuses.

On Saturday, May 17th, the Connally Cadet Education Foundation will host a picnic for Connally alumni and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 at Mac Peoples Stadium. We encourage all our alumni to attend the picnic and connect with other Cadet alumni. Whether you were a Connally alumnus or someone who wished they had been a Cadet graduate, you are invited to join us at Mac Peoples!

The regular May school board meeting is this evening at 6:30 p.m. A brief special meeting at 6:15 p.m. will canvass the votes for the May 3rd election.

Enjoy your week, Cadets!

Spotlight: Tri-Cities Ministries School Supply Drive

School Supply

Tri-Cities Ministries will have a school supply drive again this year. Each campus has information on applying for the free backpack filled with school supplies. They will strive to fulfill everyone’s request, but they can't guarantee that all needs will be met. They will distribute the supplies on Saturday, July 26,, at the community health fair at Connally Administration.
