Greeting, Families!

Last week we had a great time at both the pre-k and kindergarten field days. I would like to take a moment to thank Coach G for planning the events. He is such a wonderful PE coach and role model for our students. We are so thankful for him.

This week our GT students will be showcasing their projects during our 4th nine weeks Jamboree on Tuesday afternoon. Parents of GT students are invited to attend. Reach out to your child's teacher if you need more information about the GT Showcase!

Next week is our last week of school, which is hard to believe! Kindergarten students will be graduating on May 22nd at Connally High School. Be sure to make note of which time your child's class is graduating.

On Friday, May 23rd, we will have an early release. CECC will dismiss at 11:30 am. This is also the last day of school!

Keep reading and writing at home! This will be important to do between now and when the kids start back to school in August! They have made so much progress this year, and allowing them opportunities to read and write at home will help them to continue to grow and not lose ground during the summer months!

This week we are proud to recognize five students for earning positive behavior referrals!

Next, our most recent Feature Teacher is Mr. Jordan Burke. Mr. Burke stepped in this semester as the teacher in one of our pre-k rooms. He has done an amazing job.

Lastly, we would like to recognize these two sweet girls for having perfect attendance and no tardies during the month of April!

The best way to get your child off to a great start is to make a commitment to have them at school every day. Good attendance is a strong predictor of future academic success. We are busy every minutes of the day in Pre-K and Kindergarten with learning and we do not want your child to miss out on anything!
