Hello Cadets!
It was so lovely to get a taste of fall weather last week! It is now back to 80-90 degrees. There will be a day soon when we wish it were this warm!
Over the weekend, the Cadet band competed in the UIL Marching Contest at Midway ISD. The students had a fabulous performance and advanced to the finals that evening. These students have grown and improved in their sound quality and marching abilities. They have a great deal to be proud of. Thank you to our band director, Dr. Nora Mosby, and assistant band directors, Raymundo De La Cruz and Wyatt Reed, for their time working with our students!
If you have not had the opportunity to attend a volleyball game this season, now is your chance! The volleyball teams will play at La Vega High School tomorrow night and on Friday at Lorena High School. They will close their season with Senior Night against China Spring on Tuesday, October 28th.
Our campuses have several fun opportunities and fall activities for all ages. The primary campus started the fun this past Saturday with a fall carnival for our younger students. There are a few more fun opportunities for our students this week as well:
Tuesday, October 22nd-
Connally Junior High will host its annual trunk-or-treat from 5:30 to 7:30. They will be passing out candy, treats, and a contest for the best costume!
Connally Elementary School will also host a family night from 5:30 to 7:00.
Thursday, October 24th-
Connally High School will host a fall carnival in the hallways from 6:00 to 7:30. There will be games, prizes, candy, and haunted classrooms.
Tonight is the October school board meeting. We will recognize our students of the month for grade levels 6 and 12 and recognize new Lakeview Academy graduates! The meeting will begin at 6:30, with a special meeting at 6:20 to review the Financial Integrity Rating for the State of Texas (FIRST).
Have a great week!
