Greeting Cadet Nation,

It's Homecoming Week, and we couldn’t be more excited about all the events planned! Each day, students will show their spirit by dressing in themed attire: Monday is for Crocs or Birkenstocks, Tuesday is all about your favorite team shirt or jersey, Wednesday is Twin/Triplet Day, and Thursday we’ll wrap up with Cadet swag to show our school pride.

The Homecoming Parade will take place on Wednesday evening at 6:45 p.m., followed by the junior football game on Thursday and concluding with the varsity game on Friday night.

We’re thrilled to announce that our junior band gave an incredible performance at the last home game and will continue to perform for the remainder of the season at all home games.

It’s essential for every student to engage in school activities so they can feel a true sense of belonging and commitment. We deeply value our students’ efforts to find their unique place on campus as they prepare for future success.

Last Wednesday, Mr. Figley from Figley Creative visited our digital media students at the junior high. He shared insights on his process for shooting real estate photography and discussed how students could launch their own side businesses, earning extra income on weekends.

It’s truly inspiring when professionals like Mr. Figley share their expertise with our students, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world industries. Even if students don’t pursue photography or videography full-time, the skills they gained open doors to potential side businesses and additional income. Thank you, Mr. Figley, for generously sharing your knowledge!

We are thrilled to extend an invitation for guardians and siblings to join their student for lunch at Connally Junior High! Sharing a meal with your child is a wonderful opportunity to engage with their school experience and create lasting memories.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for everyone, please note the following guidelines:

• Call Ahead: Please inform the school of your visit by calling us at 254-296-7700 by 9:30 AM on the day you plan to join your child for lunch.

• Visit Schedule: To accommodate everyone comfortably, we ask that you follow the schedule below based on the first letter of your child’s last name:

  • A-F: Mondays

  • G-M: Tuesdays

  • N-S: Wednesdays

  • T-Z: Thursdays

Connally Junior High requires that all parents or guardians escort and chaperone their children to all Connally ISD activities, including athletic games at both the junior high and high school levels. Junior high school students (grades 6-8) must not be dropped off at any event without an accompanying adult present 100% of the time during the event or for the entire duration that their child is present.
