Principal's Update:

Dear Connally Junior High Families,

We’ve had a great week at CJH! Our students have been working hard, and we’re so proud of their continued effort and positive attitudes as we move closer to the end of the school year.

Just a reminder that all students will take the Math STAAR test this Tuesday, April 29. Please help your child be successful by ensuring they get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time.

Looking ahead, May 20th will be our End-of-Year Awards Programs. Each grade level will have its own celebration time, and we will be sending out the schedule soon. We look forward to recognizing students who have shown hard work, growth, and leadership this year!

Also, the week of May 6–10 is Teacher Appreciation Week. Please join us in celebrating our amazing teachers and all they do for our students each day. A kind note, small treat, or thank you goes a long way in showing them how valued they are.

Reminder: Living WELL Aware – My Choices, My Life

Just a reminder that Connally Junior High will begin the Living WELL Aware: My Choices, My Life curriculum on Monday, April 29.

This program focuses on helping students make healthy decisions, build positive relationships, and avoid risky behaviors. It’s age-appropriate, medically accurate, and aligned with TEKS and family values.

If you haven’t already, please return the opt-in permission form by Wednesday, May 1. Forms were sent home last week and also emailed to parents. Come Join Us For Lunch

We are thrilled to extend an invitation for guardians and siblings to join their student for lunch at Connally Junior High! Sharing a meal with your child is a wonderful opportunity to engage with their school experience and create lasting memories.

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for everyone, please note the following guidelines:

  • Call Ahead: Please inform the school of your visit by calling us at 254-296-7700 by 9:30 AM on the day you plan to join your child for lunch.

  • Visit Schedule: To accommodate everyone comfortably, we ask that you follow the schedule below based on the first letter of your child’s last name:

    • A-F: Mondays

    • G-M: Tuesdays

    • N-S: Wednesdays

    • T-Z: Thursdays

We look forward to welcoming you to our school and hope you enjoy this time with your child.

Parent Supervision At School Events

Connally Junior High requires that all parents or guardians escort and chaperone their children to all Connally ISD activities, including athletic games at both the junior high and high school levels. Junior high school students (grades 6-8) must not be dropped off at any event without an accompanying adult present 100% of the time during the event or for the entire duration that their child is present.
