Principal's Update:

Connally Family,

It brings my family and I great joy to announce that I will be the principal for the 2025-2026 school year. I am committed to addressing campus, student, and faculty needs while helping our Cadets be prepared for high school. I grew up the son of two educators just down the highway in West, Texas. My bachelor’s degree is from Texas A&M and my Masters in Education was received in 2017 from Tarleton State University. I am also currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Tarleton State University and look forward to graduating in 2028. I have been married for 10 years to my wife Ruthie and we have two kids, Jameson (5) and Holly (7). The CJH admin and staff are already working on next year and I look forward to leading the campus towards a focus on quality academic instruction. My family and I are thrilled to be a part of the Cadet family next year.  GO CADETS!

Exciting News: New Adolescent Health Curriculum Begins April 29th!

Connally Junior High is excited to launch a new adolescent health curriculum, Living WELL Aware: My Choices, My Life, starting April 29th. This dynamic program was developed by renowned physicians and national wellness speakers, Dr. Patricia J. Sulak and Dr. Jeffrey A. Waxman, co-founders of Living WELL Aware LLC.

This curriculum was carefully chosen for its strong alignment with parent values, its focus on current health issues, and its foundation in medically accurate, age-appropriate content. It also meets the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Healthy relationships

  • Healthy decision-making

  • Avoidance of risky behaviors such as sexual activity, drug and alcohol use, tobacco, gang involvement, and bullying

To learn more, visit livingwellaware.com and click on the Adolescent Wellness tab to view brief informational videos.

An opt-in permission form will be sent home with your student and emailed to parents. Please be sure to return the form by May 1st.

We will also be hosting a Parent Information Night soon—details to come!

Thank you for your continued support in promoting the health and well-being of our students!

Parent Supervision At School Events

Connally Junior High requires that all parents or guardians escort and chaperone their children to all Connally ISD activities, including athletic games at both the junior high and high school levels. Junior high school students (grades 6-8) must not be dropped off at any event without an accompanying adult present 100% of the time during the event or for the entire duration that their child is present.
