Connally Junior High School Update

Week of 12/2/2024 - 12/6/2024

Principal's Update:

Welcome Back! Let’s Make a Difference Together!

Dear Connally Junior High Community,

We hope everyone had a wonderful and restful Thanksgiving break, filled with joy, gratitude, and time with loved ones. As we return, we’re excited to jump back into learning with engaging lessons and activities to carry us through this special time of year.

This season is also a time of giving, and we’re thrilled to announce our Annual Connally ISD food drive for the Lacy Lakeview and Elm Mott community! Starting now, we’ll be holding a friendly competition among classes to collect non-perishable food items to support families in need.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Bring in non-perishable food items (canned goods, boxed items, etc.) to your WinTime teacher.

  • The class with the most contributions will earn a special recognition!

Let’s work together to make a positive impact in our community while fostering the spirit of generosity. Thank you for your continued support, and let’s make this season bright for everyone!

We’re also excited to remind you about our Annual STEM Night happening on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM here at Connally Junior High!

This event is an incredible opportunity for students and families to explore hands-on activities that celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). With stations hosted by our teachers and local businesses/organizations, there will be something for everyone to enjoy!

Event Highlights:

  • Interactive STEM Stations: Explore 24-30 different hands-on activities.

  • Community Partners: Learn from local businesses and organizations involved in STEM.

  • Food Trucks: Grab a bite to eat on campus—details for pre-ordering will be shared soon!

  • Student Helpers: Guided assistance from our AVID students and cheerleaders.

How You Can Help:

  • Spread the Word: Know a STEM-related business or organization that might want to participate? Share their information with us!

We look forward to seeing everyone there for a night of learning, fun, and family engagement. Let’s make this year’s STEM Night the best one yet!
