Hello CHS Families,
We had a great homecoming week this past week filled with festivities and Cadet Pride. We had dances, spirit days, pep rallies, mums, football games and we crowned a new HOCO king and queen. Our football team came up a bit short but they are really improving and are getting ready for district play.
This week is a normal week for the high school. We will have our 3rd intervention day on Friday. If students that are assigned do not show they will be facing consequences. It is really important they come so we can work together to show the needed improvements in their academics. We have 2 weeks until the end of the grading period so showing up and giving full effort will be essential the next few weeks.
As parents if you can help us out and remind your student to show up "school ready". By that I mean:
on time - our tardy bell rings at 8am
in dress code - all normal rules apply, the homecoming spirit days are over now
phones taken care of - we ask that students use their pouch, turn them in to the front office or leave them at home
wearing their student ids - part of our safety plan is that everyone is wearing their IDs at all times in the building
I appreciate everyone's support. CHS is truly a special place.
