Hello CHS Families,
I hope everyone had a good 3 day weekend. We are excited about the start of a new week.
As you know, the Connally Independent School District is in its second year of operating a hybrid 4-day school week. The district's Intensive Intervention Calendar allows for our students to receive targeted, small group instruction as they work to make academic gains. Intervention Sessions last from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The first Intervention Friday is this week on September 6th. All students have been notified and letters sent home indicating if the students is required to attend or not.
If students are not required to attend and are interested in attending on September 6th and future Intervention Fridays, Connally High School is excited to provide a wide variety of exciting enrichment opportunities for our students including:
Club and Organization Meeting/Events
Attendance Recovery Opportunities
Job Shadowing
Field Trips
CNA and PCT Clinicals
College Test Review (SAT/ACT/TSIA2)
Students interested in attending voluntary enrichment on the September 6th Intervention Friday can sign up for the class(es) that they are interested in using their RTI Scheduler account to request a TAG from their teacher or Club/Organization sponsor. Enrichment opportunities are subject to change each Intervention Friday.
Transportation is available for any student that needs it to and from Intervention Fridays. The CHS Cafeteria will provide both breakfast and lunch options for all students in attendance on these days.
