Connally Elementary School Update

Week of 9/30/2024 - 10/4/2024

Mrs. Redden's Update

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

This week CES will have its first Eureka Math Informational Night. If you would like more information about what your child will learn in math this year and how you can help at home, we would love to have you. We will meet on Tuesday, October 1st, at 5:30 PM. You will learn about Eureka Math, and be able to see some of our math teachers show you examples of what your child is learning. This is different from our Family Night/Annual Title 1 Parent Information Meeting on October 22nd.

Progress reports are available for you through Skyward. If you are not sure how to find your child's progress report, please contact the front office, and we will be able to help you log in to view your child's grades so far this school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher through Rooms.

Teachers will be in contact with soon to schedule parent conferences to discuss your child's progress and areas for improvement. I encourage you to come meet with your child's teacher so we can share his/her current academic levels, and areas we will work with your child for his/her success.

Thank you for being a partner with us as we work together to educate your children. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

CES Title 1 School Wide Plan

Please review our Title 1 parent documents listed above. We will have more information at our first family night on October 22nd. We will have another meeting on October 24th at 8:30 in the library if you are unable to attend October 22nd to review the Title 1 parent information. In the meantime, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please reach out at kredden@connally.org.

Bullying Information

Bullying is not tolerated at CES. If your child comes home and says they are being bullied, or someone else is being bullied, please contact us so we can investigate. It is important that all students feel safe in their classrooms and around the campus so they can learn without distractions. We have had lessons with students already this year on what bullying is and what it is not, and what to do if someone is being bullied.

If you are unsure if a situation is bullying, or you would like to see what we use at school to determine bullying, please visit the following link for more information: Grades 3-5: https://txssc.txstate.edu/videos/prevent-bullying-3-5/

With the addition of David's Law several year ago, school districts are able to investigate bullying situations to include cyberbullying, whether it is done on campus or off campus if it is affecting a student's learning environment at school.
