Connally Independent School District

Connally Early Childhood Center Update

Week of 9/30/2024 - 10/4/2024

Principal's Update:

Greetings, CECC Families,

This week we officially kick off our fall parent conferences. You should have heard from your child's teacher about scheduling a time to meet to discuss your child's progress. These conferences are important so we encourage everyone to make attending a priority.

We will be celebrating our wonderful custodians on Tuesday of this week on National Custodian Day. Our two ladies, Irene and Irma, serve our campus with such kindness and keep our building clean. We are appreciative of them!

Thursday pre-k and kindergarten will learn about fire safety from the Lacy Lakeview Fire Department. They will come to our school and do presentations for all classes. Be sure to ask your children what they learned because they will be sharing important safety tips.

The Pumpkin Run is fast approaching. This is a favorite activity for CECC and a big fundraiser for our campus. You should have received information about how to sponsor your child for the number of laps he/she runs! Be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday, Oct. 10th and come run at the track with your child!

It is not quite time for the first round of reports cards to go home, but when that time arrives you may click on the following links to see the rubric that determines grading for pre-k and kindergarten. Click here for pre-k and here for kindergarten.

Have a wonderful week!

Mrs. Bowling, Principal

Attendance

The best way to get your child off to a great start is to make a commitment to have them at school every day. Good attendance is a strong predictor of future academic success. We are busy every minutes of the day in Pre-K and Kindergarten with learning and we do not want your child to miss out on anything!
