Dear Parents,

This week is full of fun because of Homecoming! We always love the annual Homecoming parade, which will begin at 6:45 pm on Wednesday. CECC will have a float in the parade so be watching for us! On Friday night we will enjoy watching our Cadets grab another win in the Homecoming football game!

Picture day is this week. Students brought home order forms last Thursday. If you have questions about picture day or orders, call the front office!

October will be here soon. During the month of October teachers hold conferences with every child's parent. Be watching for information from your child's teacher about scheduling your conference. This is a great way to hear first hand how your child is doing at school!

Don't forget that this Friday is a non-instructional day. We will see students back at school on Monday, Sept. 30th!

Our new math curriculum provides highly engaging lessons on grade level for students. There is information for families available at gm.greatminds.org/math-for-texas.

Homework Helpers for grades K-5 provide step-by-step explanations of how to work problems similar to those found in Eureka Math TEKS Edition homework assignments.

Family Tip Sheets for grades K-5 provide are topic level tip sheets that explain math strategies and models, provide key vocabulary and sample problems, and links to use vides.

The best way to get your child off to a great start is to make a commitment to have them at school every day. Good attendance is a strong predictor of future academic success. We are busy every minutes of the day in Pre-K and Kindergarten with learning and we do not want your child to miss out on anything!
