Connally Independent School District

Connally Early Childhood Center Update

Week of 9/16/2024 - 9/20/2024

Principal's Update:

Happy Monday, CECC Families!

I hope everyone enjoyed a nice, three-day weekend. We enjoyed cheering our Cadets on to a win at the Friday night football game. It's always fun for the Connally family to come together for Friday night lights!

This week we have our first parent event on Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00. Don't worry about dinner because we will provide nachos for everyone who attends! Come play fun math games with your child, learn about our new Eureka math curriculum, and take home important information about our campus being a Title 1 School!

Be watching for information coming home in your child's backpack about Fall Picture Day. That will be next week on Sept. 24th.

I would like to express our appreciation to everyone who has participated in the SchoolStore fundraiser so far! We are hoping to earn a chance to win a Book Vending Machine. It requires that we have at least 40% of our parents participate in the fundraiser so we would really love it if you sign up!

One of our goals is to have great student attendance. When you child is at school every single day, it truly sets him/her up for success. We encourage you to have your child at school every single day! Check out our first perfect attendance winners for the year. These two girls were at school every day in August and had no tardies. They won a McDonalds gift card for their families to enjoy!

A second important goal for us this year is to encourage and celebrate great behavior. One of the ways we do this is by giving Positive Office Referrals for students making good choices. Please help us by encouraging your child to be respectful at school.

Have a wonderful week.

Attendance

The best way to get your child off to a great start is to make a commitment to have them at school every day. Good attendance is a strong predictor of future academic success. We are busy every minutes of the day in Pre-K and Kindergarten with learning and we do not want your child to miss out on anything!
