Good Morning,
This week we have a lot of fun things happening. Our coin challenge kicks off today as well as Red Ribbon Week. At the kindergarten and pre-k level, our focus during Red Ribbon Week is on keeping our bodies safe and healthy. We talk about making good choices that will help us be successful! The last day of this week is Halloween, but instead of wearing scary costumes to school, students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite storybook character. It's so fun to see the creative costumes each year.
In November the annual Thanksgiving lunch is coming up! This year tickets must be pre-paid by filling out the order form. Order forms were sent home last week. Check your child's folder for the orange piece of paper. If you need a new one, just reach our to your child's teacher! Tickets are $5.00 and must be paid for in cash. No other form of payment will be accepted.
As you know we are building readers and writers here at Early Childhood. One easy way you can help your kindergarten child is to review their sight words daily (ask your child's teacher for a list) and an easy way to help your pre-k child is to review letter names and sounds daily! The more practice they get, the better!
Have a great week!
